Sunday evening, I have finally got down to posting . This time I have posted for little girls. One is a pink vest with a lemon border, I have shown alternative color combinations.
Another light pink layette set for a One year old, with alternate colors. The yarn used is soft pure wool which will be soft for the little ones.

It has been three weeks since I posted my crochet, first time after being on Face Book. There has been a major preoccupation with our family. But I have some pictures to post.

. These are simple neck pieces, which can be used on Kurtis, dresses, night wear, etc. They are lacy for some I have put beads, these neck pieces look simple, lacy and is good accessory for enhancing your dresses, please do have a look. it is rather feminine, and pretty.

pretty rectangle baskets

I missed posting last week, and almost missed today, somehow preoccupied with some personal work. Lots of holidays and lots of people travelling, must be so great to take a break from the daily routine.

I have made two baskets, but the shape is rectangular, one is a grand multi color and the other a pretty pink, , my customer/friend who ordered it made it even more attractive bu tying a satin ribbon to it, great idea. As always open to orders.

Doilies-------Gifts

A cold Sunday with rain, the evening colder, tried snuggling under a comforter but was restless, so happy to be with my crochet.

A sad day for our family, we lost an aunt who was selfless, touched many souls and worked tirelessly even from a wheelchair. She worked endlessly, so much to learn from her. Guess her work on this Earth was done. I shared a special bond with her, will miss her. She was very interested in my Crochet and very encouraging, so I dedicate this video to her. Rest in peace dear Aunt.

Today am posting very feminine, Lacey doilies.They can be used on dressing tables, coffee tables, side tables and center tables. they make great gifts what with festivals in the next few months.I take orders and courier to any part of the world, of course the charges are extra.

hi all , a very wet Bangalore, Saturday afternoon, its pouring, thunder, it is torrential, it i like the night so dark, we went out for lunch and got sopping wet, Oh it is so nice to be home warm and dry.
Today am very happy and excited to be posting a bag, so different from the others, it is colorful and rather big and solid. My dear niece wanted all the bright colors, so I made granny squares and attached them together and created this bag, for me it is my 'MAGNUM OPUS'. I am so pleased with the outcome, thank you Dear Divya for trusting me with such a big bag. I wanted my niece to model it for me but she is abroad and busy,so am going ahead with pictures, am putting the front and the back of the bag.,

bag and baskets

Sunday afternoon, almost evening it is like the night. There has been continuous rain, dark clouds. Cold day, the house is dark, a good time to snuggle under a comforter, listen to music and read a book, sounds good perhaps after this posting i will do the same.

Been a busy week had some orders to complete, i made a two baskets and one cross bag. it has given me great pleasure doing them for two very nice people,

I made really big baskets of 8", which looks really nice and spacious, it is purple  l with a blue edging and have put pink stones or kundan [a shopkeeper told me it is called] so I respect  his  word . The second basket is in light mauve it is called variegated thread which means [one thread with two or more colors]. For that i have edged silver and gold tread and put in some pearls, very decorative ideal for a gift of course good to own one too,
The baskets are Rs 800/. each.
I have made a cross bad in purple and beige, it is almost 10'width and perhaps around 8/9 ;in height., as always I have put in a satin lining with the main zip and small inner pouch with a zip, This would cost around Rs 1000/00, of course depending on your requirement.

hi all. Already friday, it seems only yesterday the last weekend was on us , but a full week has passed by. Time is really precious, we waste it and that's it. As I write on this evening the rains have kept up to the date, except last evening , we have had rains the whole week and correctly predicted. Lets not go into the absolute torture many areas and homes are facing, every rain this happens and the apathy goes on.

Anyway on more colourful thoughts, the festival of Navaratri or Dussehra is in september. I thought it is gift time , my crochet has a number of items like potlis, bags, doilies etc.But today am posting my baskets which can be used as gifts. I have shown some items which can be put in these baskets, but its your imagination and choice.

These baskets can be customized to any size, there are some very pretty colors which are available.

I ,made five blue and five purple, two reds , a maroon and dark blue. I have made a collage of six of them, I have made all twelve with different embellishments and edgings, it was quite a challenge but satisfying at the end of it, So here are the pictures.

scarf

hi all, weekend is here, and so here i am with my crochet but this time it is a little different, it it more about my niece, Madhanika. 

I made a scarf with red and black a trendy one for a lovely young girl, I have put small stones here and there, the stones make huge difference to the scarf., it is a very light one , which can be worn anytime of the year.

My niece is off to the USA for higher studies, here's wishing her all the best, a very sweet ,mature girl,Am sure she will shine, will miss you maddy,The scarf suited her and you can see a picture of hr modelling it,, As always anyone interested please let me know.

stuffed toys

Hi everyone, A rainy Friday evening n B'lore, it gets chill here. I am posting on a Friday as I missed last week. last Saturday was hectic as we had a sale in our Apartments, it went off quite well. For me the highlight was meeting two lovey , bright, very articulate two ten year old girls with lovely names Sattvika and Anisha. .     
  
They are an inspiration to me , they wanted stuffed toys which was not readily available.
I had only one so I made one more and both the girls got them . I have just stared making stuffed animals sent a few to my grand nephews in Singapore. I plan to make more and expand my repertoire I have a long way to go ,but Sattvika and Anisha have given me the impetus to learn and improve. I bless these children as I have learnt so much from them, on this note bye for now , I am posting a short video. Hope you enjoy it. please do listen to the music.

Hi all, Strange to post my work on a Monday morning. But here it is.

Today I am putting up pictures of oval shape mats, they are called placement mats. This can be used on dressing table, or side tables, of course it is your personal choice.

Baskets

hi, a mixed week, ,some highs, some lows and some levelers. some health issues in the family causing anxiety, but life goes on.

This week am posting my favorite item, baskets, I love making them, there are lovely yarn or threads available, in different textures and pretty colors. These baskets are useful, decorative and can be used in whatever fashion you want. I let my imagination take over and enhance it with edgings, beads, stones etc. the baskets can be customized to any size
.
A ,7" basket with beads, etc will be around Rs 700.00. yes they stand stiff , they do not flop down. A tip you can use some spray starch of needed.

Clutch purse

good evening , A Friday evening , unusual for me to do my posting , since i missed last week again unusual, as there was a family problem But life goes on so does my work.
I have been trying to make some stuffed animals am still at it, I have two grand nephews, the older boy may be a little dismissive of these toys but the little one is still at an age where he may enjoy them, it is to be seen. For me too a learning experience.

it is late saturday night , technically sunday since it is past midnight. I am the proverbial night owl, so thought of doing my posting. A week that just ran by, finally after a month my cough seems to have bid good bye to me.So getting back to my regular routine.Being unwell is such a waste of time, money and anxiety to the caregivers..Enough of this lets go into the world of colors.

silk scarves

Hello all, A very pleasant Saturday morning, we are blessed with such good weather. Sadly, so many parts of the country are experiencing such Hot weather.

A quiet week, got some patterns together, also waiting for some material from my supplier from Mumbai, then get down to serious work.

Today am posting silk scarves, this material can be used the whole year, these silk threads are very fine soft and rich. The patterns look extremely intricate, lacy and delicate. Other than scarves other garments like stoles, shrugs would look really very chic and elegant. I got this material from my supplier Pradhan Stores, who took so much trouble to get them for me.

The cost of these Silk Scarves is much higher than the wool/acrylic yarns we generally use. It is labour intense but the end product is a delight, so would love to hear from you for orders, will see you soon .
