bag and baskets

Sunday afternoon, almost evening it is like the night. There has been continuous rain, dark clouds. Cold day, the house is dark, a good time to snuggle under a comforter, listen to music and read a book, sounds good perhaps after this posting i will do the same.

Been a busy week had some orders to complete, i made a two baskets and one cross bag. it has given me great pleasure doing them for two very nice people,

I made really big baskets of 8", which looks really nice and spacious, it is purple  l with a blue edging and have put pink stones or kundan [a shopkeeper told me it is called] so I respect  his  word . The second basket is in light mauve it is called variegated thread which means [one thread with two or more colors]. For that i have edged silver and gold tread and put in some pearls, very decorative ideal for a gift of course good to own one too,
The baskets are Rs 800/. each.
I have made a cross bad in purple and beige, it is almost 10'width and perhaps around 8/9 ;in height., as always I have put in a satin lining with the main zip and small inner pouch with a zip, This would cost around Rs 1000/00, of course depending on your requirement.

hi all. Already friday, it seems only yesterday the last weekend was on us , but a full week has passed by. Time is really precious, we waste it and that's it. As I write on this evening the rains have kept up to the date, except last evening , we have had rains the whole week and correctly predicted. Lets not go into the absolute torture many areas and homes are facing, every rain this happens and the apathy goes on.

Anyway on more colourful thoughts, the festival of Navaratri or Dussehra is in september. I thought it is gift time , my crochet has a number of items like potlis, bags, doilies etc.But today am posting my baskets which can be used as gifts. I have shown some items which can be put in these baskets, but its your imagination and choice.

These baskets can be customized to any size, there are some very pretty colors which are available.

I did have a a bulk order for 12 potlis, for a festival. given to me by a fine sweet young lady, she wanted it in wool, we chose a light blue and a kind of purple with sequins on it, it is new in the market here, they are very pretty, lovely colors, and soft, a sweater vest, shawl, poncho and shrug would lookreally
eye catching.
I ,made five blue and five purple, two reds , a maroon and dark blue. I have made a collage of six of them, I have made all twelve with different embellishments and edgings, it was quite a challenge but satisfying at the end of it, So here are the pictures.

scarf

hi all, weekend is here, and so here i am with my crochet but this time it is a little different, it it more about my niece, Madhanika. 

I made a scarf with red and black a trendy one for a lovely young girl, I have put small stones here and there, the stones make huge difference to the scarf., it is a very light one , which can be worn anytime of the year.

My niece is off to the USA for higher studies, here's wishing her all the best, a very sweet ,mature girl,Am sure she will shine, will miss you maddy,The scarf suited her and you can see a picture of hr modelling it,, As always anyone interested please let me know.
