fun with crochet

a chill rainy evening in Bangalore, it is raining rather heavily, and a chill breeze. June and end May are always like this, it is good to have rains after the severe summer, water shortages so hope there will be rain in the catchment areas. The only hassle
is the power cuts, well we cannot have it all!!!!!!
I have had some fun doing my crochet, I have made small stuffed animals and made a big basket with all the left over wool, so my yarn looks finally neat, there is a need for more baskets am working on it amid other things, since it is chill I have given a fireplace background for my basket. Ah what a week it has been, hubby and I are competing with each other as to who is more unwell, he gets better i get worse i get better he gets worse, so it is a round of colds, coughs, fever and some asthma and Doctors, Whew hopefully we are fit by next week., My Husband after nearly thirty years of marriage ventured into making our ever popular ,'rasam', of course i was right there, so did he figure it out anybody's guess, but he does want to learn!!!!!  

Meanwhile I finished some potlis, and am learning some more stitches and crochet cords. I am posting the potlis i made, they are in four colors, one red with silver and black edging and some small silver beads, a black with gold edging with small gold beads and tassels, the third one is a purple with pink silver edging, i have made the strings of each potli with some difference one is not like the other. The fourth one is a grey with pink the big difference is I have put rings on this potli in addition to the strings, along each I am putting another color so that if you want to own one this could give you an idea of the colors.

I had some ideas which I put to use. I have also made quite a few potli's which I will post next week.

hi everyone, I skipped a posting last week, perhaps for the first time since I started Crochet, no particular reason though.  

This week has been quiet and a little dull, a very strange thing for me since I am usually full of energy and cheer. I had a touch of flu and now am nursing an attack of asthma full of medication, anyway thanks to my dear Doctor it is bearable. So I have amused myself by making a few trinkets like chains and bracelets. it was really enjoyable and I had some ideas which I put to use. I have also made quite a few potli's which I will post next week.
