hello all,a full year gone, time really flies. It has been a very good year for me as my work my crochet has been very fulfilling, I have created some varied items and my learning continues. I hope to learn and improve my skills.

This week am posting my much awaited Poncho, I am very happy that I finished it, its has been a rewarding experience, here I must thank my cousin Mini and my brother in law Dr G K Jayaram, for trusting me with this project, the encouragement and appreciation from them has been invaluable, I thank them once again, they have been so sweet and modeled the poncho so I am posting the pictures.

I also thank all of you for your support and appreciation for my work and look forward to more in the coming year.

Seasons greetings to all. Wishing a wonderful 2017 to all, hope there will be peace in this modern world.

Back to my Crochet, I am working on a poncho which should be ready soon, quite excited to see the result, have made some more bags and mandalas, but I will continue with my scarves since the weather demands it, they are in different colors and designs, there is also a red cable scarf which will keep you warm.

scarves and purses

It is Friday night, been a hectic week, lagging behind on my crochet work, slightly preoccupied with domesticity, but all this is a part and parcel of life. 

I am posting few scarves as the chill is in the air, also a few clutch purses.

 

The single color scarves are Rs 1000 for a length of 70".and a width of 6"'.The double color costs around Rs 1300.00.

The clutch purses are around Rs 1200. I get them lined and zipped. A good idea for a gift , ofcouse for ones own use, hope

Hello all, am posting my personal favourite cushion covers, made in crochet, these look very attractive, colourful and brings in great cheer to the décor of your home

scarves

Hello all, It is good to be back with you, at the outset let me apologize for being rather erratic with my postings, but from now there will be deluge!!!!!, please do keep seeing the blog, My crochet will be displayed regularly with some home cooking recipes thrown in, happy viewing and thank you all.

 Winter is slowly creeping in, a good time to wear warm and colorful clothes, an accessory is very trendy and also a touch of elegance and class, I have made various scarves, to suit all occasions and outfits. The scarves in bright colors, sober colors as the preferences might be.

I do not repeat patterns unless specified by my client, there are scarves in one shade, some in two shades, the wool I use is a soft acrylic blend, very soft and light.  the scarves I make are 70’’long and around 5 to 6’wide. Of course, it can be customized, the thickness of the wool required can be bought, there are lovely shades, I can give you the shade cards on request.

So let not the winter go by without a nice warm scarf, also a great gift to give it  is used by all ages, I make scarves for men too in crochet, so please do not forget the men in your lives. .

I am also putting up a special scarf called the cathedral scarf as it resembles the windows of the Cathedral, it is very pretty.

The scarves are Rs 1000 for a single scarf, Rs 1300 for a double colour, with 70’’length. The Cathedral scarf is RS 2500.00. So, do let me know if you would like a scarf or two. Bye for now

Hi all, A Sunday afternoon, sleepy but expecting visitors, so am at my blog. A busy week taking care of my sister who has come out of a terrible medical problem, a miracle she is well thanks to God Almighty, we are indeed lucky

My crochet and nursing her keeps me happy and busy, today am putting up a couple of baskets and a bag and a potli, please do have a look at it a s always your orders are very welcome. SCARVES

Hi all, have been away for a while, a family crisis which has blown over, my sister had a small medical

problem which blew up to an alarming situation and she was critical but mercifully a miracle she is fine.

potlis

 

Another crisp morning no sign of winter in our Bengaluru, so strange, in years for the first time there is no chill in the air, of course the horror of so called progress. We were a city of trees and lovely avenues, flowers and a thick green cover ,

 

so we have now of course modernity, concrete jungles, glass, glass everywhere, humongous traffic and pollution. Any way in all this my oasis is my crochet, so let’s talk about this. 

Today we are going to see some potlis or pouches, it is sweet, dainty, a very feminine accessory, ideal for an outing at any point of the day and for any occasion, I make them in nylon thread, as always very attractive colours and designs, I use embellishments or a contrast color unless you have a preference. These potlis can be made in wool also, this of course is a personal preference, I make them nice long strings and this makes easy to hold and also easy to close the bag. Sizes of different dimensions can be made.

doilies

Hello all, a new day, a new posting, Crochet is like tapestry, its delicate, lacy and rather feminine, a must for all women, also for anyone who is house proud. Crochet has so much to offer for the decor of one’s home, we have runners, doilies, mandalas, baskets, wall hangings, the list is quite exhaustive, today my emphasis is on doilies… so here goes

A doily is generally a centre piece to be used on you tables, a set of dollies called ‘duchess set’, is for your dressing table.  Mini  doilies can be used as coasters. These attractive doilies are made in cotton thread, they are delicate, lacy and intricate. There are some great colors and threads in the market. It is a great gift idea too, so have a look at some I have made, I love making them.
